My AV is BitDefender, and my laptop is a dinosaur. I could really use some help and suggestions, as this has been happening for a few weeks now.
Reinstalling SFM is out of the question. Unsubscribing then resubscribing to some submissions. No launch commands, never used -nosteam. Checked antivirus and made sure SFM was exempt from scans. Removed any "Read only" ticks from my workshop folder. Opened SDK and made sure all directories were ticked. Verified integrity of application files. They're not downloading when I subscribe, and unsubscribing doesn't remove them from my workshop folder. My SFM subscriptions are "frozen" to put it simply. /r/Blender - Subreddit of the 3D modelling/animation software, Blender.
